Summer Series #1: Hydration Hacks

We all know that as soon as the weather goes up in temperature our skin is in danger of getting dehydrated. So from apart from the obvious actions like drinking plenty of water or using plenty of moisturizer at night- Here are 4 hydration products which I find work wonders throughout the hotter months to keep my skin, fresh, hydrated and healthy!

1) Decelor Aurabsolu Mist
This refreshing mist works to revitalise the skin and awaken your complexion.
  • With a soothing essential oil complex, its lightweight formula stimulates cell renewal to refresh the look of tired skin, replenishing and illuminating to leave the complexion looking awake and naturally radiant.Perfect for using pre-makeup application, after cleansing or at any point during the day as an invigorating pick-me-up.
2) Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Tonic
  • This is such a gorgeous product to add to your skincare routine throughout the hotter months. This super soothing and freshening hydrating tonic is enriched with a Mineral Water Blend of Cucumber, Chamomile, Liqourice, Aloe Leaf and Lavender to soothe and soften skin. I love using this instead of a normal toner after cleansing to increase hydration and for those with dry skin, this can be used as your toner all year around.
I’d recommend using this immediately after cleansing, to restore and balance skin whilst leaving it soft, soothed and perfectly prepared for your treatment products or moisturiser to follow. It’s also a great product to use throughout the day if you need to freshen up the skin or take off a thin layer of make up.
3) Clarins Hydra Quench Mask
  • This mask can be used from sensitive, dry, normal to Combination Skin or and it is particularly good for those in hot climates. This Hydra Quench mask is not oily but still ultra-moisturizing for the skin as well as providing UV protection that satisfies all of the needs of normal to combination skin, and all skin types exposed to heat. This sheer, ultra light cream soothes, smooths and softens skin that is in need of hydration. Use this once or twice a week and leave on for up to 15 minutes to boost skins moisture levels.
4) Avian Spray
  • A good alternative to the Decleor facial mist as it's just a pure and simple version with no extra ingredients. Just what it says on the tin, a hydrating water mist to simply freshen up the skin on a hot day!

I’ll often use this on my clients in hotter months when I need the skin to cool down and feel soothed before applying make up. I always take it on holiday with me, I'll leave it in the fridge over night and spray it first thing after cleansing to cool me down!
